My uncle passed last week and his services were today.

It was very well done, the family, once again, all gathered and ate and chatted and shared stories. Then on the ride home, the radio played a montage to John Hughes, who, at 59, passed today. This man was my entire teenage years - as I'm sure I share with a major group of people. Seems there's been SO much death lately - for me both personal as well as in the celebrity-dom. WTH!!
So - as a little tribute to my youth whom I shared during my summer vacation

when I visited with my uncle I roll my favorite Hughes flicks:
Heathers
Vacation
Some Kind of Wonderful
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Pretty in Pink
Sixteen Candles
Plane, Trains, and Automobiles
Breakfast Club
