S-E-X- Trade in the USA!

Phoenix is back on the map - er news for two 16-year old girls were arrested by vice for child prostitution. Apparently they are accused of being "madams" to a group of underaged girls being paid to have sex. The latest article on this is here.

This story brings a lot to question. If they were having sex with underaged boys for free would it matter? If they had sex with grown men for free who would be charged? If the girls are all the same age and participating on their own consent (without coersion or threat) than should the girls be charged with child prostitution?

This entire story and the idea that FIVE MONTHS was spent ($$PENT) on this is ridiculous. They should not be arrested but counseled. Show them a better life - give them training to acquire good paying jobs. Find out what is going on in their homes; investigate THAT. There's so much re: this story that just doesn't sit right.

The laws regarding prostitution, in the first place, is a joke. The entire VICE department is a waste of money. Prostitution: regulate it, maintain it, secure it, tax it, and hey, you'll be creating jobs!

Sarcasm aside, it is time for this law to be reviewed. It is illegal to get paid to do something that is okay to do for free...yea that makes sense. Cut these girls loose with couseling and job training. Prosecute the men (grown) that participated for stat rape. Although, today it is hard to tell how old anyone is so even that isn't so cut and dry; not to mention the girls consented (possibly) so this is just a mess created by outdated laws created by jealous wives to keep husbands in check during prohibition. Let's advance, shall we?

monkees R Us

After a week of much controversy and apology Sharpton is still protesting and yelling. Okay, the cartoon was not funny - it was violent an in poor taste. The fact that this animal went wild and destroyed a woman's life and greatly affected another's (the owner), is sad all in itself. It wasn't something to find humor in. That is the greatest tragedy of this cartoon and people seem to have NO problem with that. No, they are focused on some self-inflicted racism. Yes, it is SELF-INFLICTED as I do NOT believe the cartoon was written with that intent. Never did. It was in poor taste based on the news it played off of. Period.

To say the statement made regarding the chimp reflected on Obama is absurd. He didn't write the bill. He participated but if you literally take what was said it reflected on congress not the president. I intended to write this post last week but just never bothered to do so. Now, after apologies have been made and the cartoon has been discussed further, in addition to Al getting his panties in a bunch STILL, I can't take it. Enough! You are creating the situation - not reacting to it. This isn't even helpful - it's damaging. Racism does exist - I'm not being naive. But you cry it for everything you can taint and no one will listen anymore. Hear of Peter Wolf much?

Bush was compared to a monkee all the time, REALLY compared to a monkee all the time, Here are a couple of examples from websites DEDICATED to mocking him. Not to mention the countless emails that circulated with similar pictures. Baby BUSH was compared to a monkee. This cartoon does not - it isn't even implied - the implication would be on congress.

As quoted in an AP article regarding the cartoon, the author stated:
"It's about the economic stimulus bill," he added. "If you're going to make that about anybody, it would be (House Speaker Nancy) Pelosi, which it's not."

Still, Sharpton is screaming for his resignation - so much for free speech - at least for some.

Rennaisance Festival in Town

Well we finally made it out to the east valley. The day was beautiful; perhaps a little warm. The kids had a blast and the bogos were awesome. They, cross my fingers, have really been enjoying our excursions which makes it that much better. Outdoor activities really seem to be agreeing with them. Here's a few pics from the latter part of the day. They took maybe a nap or two each for less than 20 minutes. Such troopers. But they did have a KUSH afternoon!

Mistress Contest in China Goes Wrong

I couldn't have made this stuff up. Just read this! This economy is hitting everyone quite hard.

The article is about a business man who has 5 mistresses and a wife and is no longer able to afford them all so holds a private contest to eliminate all but one mistress (and keep his wife).

He hires a judge and things just go south from there. Read on; very "interesting" to say the least.

Latest in pics

They are getting taller everyday. Growing more hair, whew, too! Here's some shots with them lounging and then one of Grayson at the park; the newest Yankee fan in the family.
Chloe was at G n G's from the night before so she missed on the outing. We took the two of them hiking up Thunderbird Park last weekend - I'll have to post those out of the camera - the cell didn't get ANY decent shots.

PCH SUCKS!

Monday afternoon we had to take Grayson to the docs to look at his bum. He developed a bump that we were safe saying was staph infection. The doc confirmed and thought possibly MRSA so he contacted PCH (Phx Children's Hospital) and we went over to have him admitted.

NOT AGAIN?!?!?!

Anyway, the call from our doc's office is a head's up, not a cut in line nor a reservation of any kind. FOUR hours later we get to an er room. Three hours later we go home ( which is now midnight). Fortunately I have relatives around the corner that watched Chloe for us until grandma and grandpa came to take her for the night when we realized where this was all going...to hell in a handba- anyway.

They lanced the boil, took sample for the culture and sent us home.

He was just awesome the whole evening, fortunately - that is until they squeezed and bruised the heck out of his bum. The poor guy! They were clueless, unprofessional, had to be told what was going on constantly, and it wasn't chaotic with trauma coming in or anything. Just a total clusterF*- so after 7 hours in er (seeing the doc/RNs for less than an hour combined) we left pissed and tired.

FOUR days later (3 later than they said it would) we get the culture results back and they are inconclusive. It shows stomach bacteria and feces???? They sent the report to our doc's office who confirmed they screwed up the culture. Okay. Now what.

This Monday we go back to our doc to check on the boy's bum, verify all is well, and NEVER EVER go back to PCH - and tell everyone else to avoid their ER like the plague it is.

This guy sure gives us a run for the money; thank goodness we did our taxes!
